Student Leaders

Within school, students are provided with a range of leadership roles and responsibilities. These include Ambassadors, House Captains and Vice House Captains. The Ambassador Team comprises of seven students in Year 11; these students work with the Senior Leadership Team to help create a student voice and bring about changes. Furthermore, they work to raise money for charity.

These students are also in charge of hosting events such as weekly House competitions, Prize Giving and assemblies. For each House there are two House Captains and four Vice Captains; these students work with their Head of House to offer smaller leadership roles within each tutor group. As part of their role, they are also involved in helping to run Sports Day. The House Captains and Ambassadors have weekly meetings to discuss new ideas for competitions and activities and voice other students’ ideas of ways to improve the school.

There is a diverse range of leadership roles for younger students to take part in; these include Media, Animal, Library and Sport Leaders. These leadership roles are vital as they give students the opportunity to develop a range of skills including teamwork, responsibility, leadership and independence.
