Secondary Subject Leader Training Programme 2020 – 2021

*New for 2020 – 2021* Our Secondary Subject Leader Training Programme provides essential training for subject leaders to keep up to date with current thinking about the development of their subject and to network, discuss central themes and share good practice. The aim of the programme is to support subject leaders who are new to post or within their first couple of years of subject leadership.

Led by SLEs from across our Teaching School, this is a great opportunity to develop key skills and knowledge on effective subject leadership. The session offer a range of skills and participants can select which sessions to attend which are pertinent to their own professional development. They can also choose to attend all sessions.

Embedded will be opportunities to break off into subject specific teams and ensure expertise continues to be shared in these smaller networks of colleagues. Sessions will be led after schools throughout the Autumn and Spring term and attendees who attend 75% of the sessions will receive a certificate of completion.

This programme is for secondary subject leaders looking to develop the essential skills of an effective subject leader.
