Secondary School Experience Programme 2020

The School Experience Programme is for potential SCITT trainees to gain experience in a classroom setting, observing lessons and speaking with the faculty regarding our teacher training programme.

A school experience day at George Spencer Academy will run from 8:30am until 3:30pm and include a chance to partake in tutor time, observe 5 full lessons and meet the subject faculty. We require a DBS check if you are attending multiple visits but it is not essential for your initial visit. We can also provide experience within other schools (in our Alliance or Trust) across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

Who is it for?

Our school experience offer for Secondary is for candidates who have an interest in training to become a teacher with our SCITT and are obtaining/ have obtained a degree relevant to their subject area.
