We offer the very best range of opportunities for extracurricular enrichment with all students having opportunities for competitive sport, music and work to enhance students’ learning. The radio station is run entirely by students and broadcasts a mix of live shows and podcasts throughout the week, both within the academy and on a local radio station.
We have excellent relationships with parents who we expect to be actively involved in the academy life and all parents can join our Friends of Long Field also give us feedback through our parents’ forum.
Long Field is at the heart of the Melton Mowbray community and we run courses, events and activities for them. We appreciate we are interconnected with others in the world and it important that our students know that every decision we make has an impact on others. Resolving issues of unfairness, lack of respect for diversity and conflict, for example, are just as important in the classroom or local community as they are in major world situations. Students leave Long Field with a good understanding of the world around them and with links to make of our partner schools across the globe.
