Welcome to Long Field Spencer Academy
Long Field Spencer Academy is a successful, vibrant and friendly place for pupils and staff alike. Ours is a modern, forward-thinking school which embraces new opportunities within teaching and learning as well as offering a wealth of excellent extracurricular opportunities, some of which are unique to our school. Long Field joined the Spencer Academies Trust in 2015 and Mr Haggett our Head teacher started at the same time.
The school was recently recognised by OFSTED as good and provides a perfect balance of exciting teaching and learning with a wide range of support for our students combined with exciting opportunities beyond the curriculum. The school is small compared to most comprehensives and this ensures that all students are really well looked after and are well equipped for life in our World today.
We are also proud to work with the community of Melton Mowbray. We are committed to excellence in the education we provide but also in the care and support we give to pupils and their families. We look forward to welcoming you to the school.
With just 12 days to go until she retires (after 25 years!) it’s time to celebrate our wonderful TA Janice Atterbury. We will be posting some of our favourite photos of her through the years. Here is Day 1! @satrust_ @meltontimes @MeltonTown @aliciakearns pic.twitter.com/sD7om7GgeG
